Im going to the grandprix in Montreal and Im looking to buy tickets pretty quick because it fills up fast. This will be my first F1, has anyone attended this race before? Ive been looking at purchasing one of the 3 day packages which will give me bleacher seats. There are several bleacher sections located around the track. Is this the only way to go or will I be satisfied with general admission? Are there even seats for the general admission people? thanks

If you are going to watch the race start to finish, then buy decent seats, at least silvers. Now if you are going for the event(which I did last time) stick with general admission, and party it up!!! Take lots of cash though, hotel prices increase at least 3 fold if not more. I payed 1600+ for 3 nights in a decent place with 2 doubles.

Been to the CDN grandprix in 2000 & 2001. Try to get Silver or Golds, golds alway have a few huge screens around the main grandstand so you can watch whats going on all aruond the joint. Some silver seats (Villeneuve corner) I beleieve also have screens, remember to bring ear plugs, it'll be loud at times. Make sure to hit up Peel St from Thrus-Saturday b/c they have various car shows (ferarri, antique, and exotic) and also Shcumacher always spends time in Alexandre (cafe on peel) while in montreal. The Jet lounge is owned by Vilenneuve and it will definetly be hoppinbg during the GP. The whle city is, and be ready to see more ferraris then the aveage person sees in their whole life. Globe restuarant, if you wanna be balla style.

Where would we view the race from with general admission tickets?

the race track is on an island with a casino and some botanical buildings. Basically with General admission the whole island is yours to walk around, find a place you like and watch. There are over 300,000 who go to the race, many of them general admission so arrive early to get a good area.

Was there just last year with my wife to see the race. Awsome. I think we paid $350 for both our tickets. Don't get general admission it is a pain in the a$$. You have to basicly get their sooo early to find a decent seat. Also take the City Transit. You wont find any parking.

A greyhound ticket is about $230 for two people round trip, and if you plan it right and have the time, you can save some considerable dollars.
