Part out the blue tub??

Looks great.
Tight for the shower curtain but better than if the window was in the shower area like some people's that I know.:nut:

Can you explain the edge here a little more?
Looks like the wall had to be built in a little to fit the tub or?
It's thicker around the tub on the wall than the rest of the decorative tiles.

Also what happened to the switch behind the toilet? Was that the fan switch? Or a switch to turn the plug on? Or does a tile guy know this? haha.

The tile guy does know this in this case, as I did the entire project, lol. That tub was an actual jetted jacuzzi tub. The swith behind the toilet was the pump switch. It was a weird shape and size so the wall was framed larger than standard. We had to bring the wall out almost an inch. We considered bringing the entire wall out, but then that screwed up where it met the bathroom door, so we ended it at the tub perimeter.
New/larger exhaust fan plus new exterior window was also added to the reno.

Dave, did you handle this project from end to end? Your work always impresses me and I might need to give you a call soon to get my own bathroom reno'd

Was it originally a plaster wall? I have plaster in my house and it measures over 7/8" thick.

No, regular drywall.

Unrelated question since you are hanging out in here, we have one of those cheap-o home depot plastic shower enclosures. I hate that all the seams rely on caulk. Is there a way to keep the existing doors and base (which at least look nice, we'll see how they hold up) and replace the plastic walls with tile? Or does the difference in thickness between the two things screw everything up?

i love the look of the tile continuing around the wall from the shower, looks soooooo good IMO... Great work!

Glad i did my own at that price though haha
