Just wondering if anyone here is watching MR. ROBOT?

Trailer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug4fRXGyIak

Its a cyberpunk thriller–drama television series.

Really liking the flow of this show and so far it doesn't seem over the top like 24.

First episode was great aside from the groan-worthy KDE v Gnome conversation. Second episode got shitty real quick. I'll keep watching, but I automatically assume anything with Christian Slater is going to get cancelled mid-season.

Loving the show so far, it's on Hulu.

Should have been Gnome vs Awesome conversation :poosie:

This is turning to a great show and apparently the writer/director is doing his best to keep things as true to life as possible.

3rd episode phone hack is real software perse

I think Elliott is Mr Robot. As in, a fight club type twist. I don't want to google it because I don't like knowing in advance.

I hadn't heard about this show, I don't get the usual marketing being a "net only" tv viewer. Glad I did though. First ep was great, 2nd alright, I agree it sort of fell on its face after that, but the last 2 episodes were fantastic, particularly this last Wednesday's episode. No spoilers, but the ending, and the acting surrounding the event - worthy of an emmy nom IMO.

Great potential here, I hope Slater sticks it out, it's great seeing him in something noteworthy again.

I just finished episode 3 and I thought exactly this. The first episode had me intrigued and all excited for the possibilities of the show. From being blown away in the first episode to almost not wanting to watch anything after the third.

Glad I see it picks up again from the posts here so ill finish the season.

Cliff hanger of all cliff hangers... really excited for season 2. Definitely lost steam early but finished strong, which is good enough for me.

Seriously? This show is extremely lame. There's going to be like 8 people in the world that understand all that shit he's always talking about.

I didn't think it was terrible. It was different, which is always nice. Was tough to get through it until ep 4 though. Almost stopped watching after ep 3. The only real gripe I have is how predictable the story line has been. They made many subtle hints that it's intentionally predictable, so I was expecting a much bigger twist. Maybe season 2.

I wouldn't get hung up on any of the computer stuff, it's mostly crap. Jargon and buzz words thrown together in the right general context but utterly nonsensical overall.

Not really. This show goes beyond just the computer geek shit. There is so much underlying tones to the show...

I watched a few more esisodes. The ending of Episode 6 is one of the most remarkable moments in TV I've seen in a long time.

The Tension of the episode builds so slowly, but by the end, with the sirens going and the chaos, I almost forgot it was a a show, as I watched the disastrous ending unfold.

Pure brilliance. As others have observed, this show has a lot more going for it - It's not merely a delivery system for technobabble as I had originally thought.

Love the addition of Joey Bada$$, and love that they are still making "hackers" references

I'd like to see a bit more "hacking" stuff. I guess we are only up to episode 2.

I'm watching again. I am not sure how much I like the whole "3rd person perspective but in the mind's eye of the protagonist" thing they got going on. Was confused as all hell for a couple minutes when his dad showed back up and then shot him in the head

I still don't really get the main character. What is his purpose? Does he actually have one? Or is he just driven to the cause because that's what happens to people?

Kind of concerned about the whole "lost consciousness for hours and then we catch back up" shtick. Seems like lazy writing, but I'll withhold judgement.

Overall it is one of the better things on TV for sure!

S02 has been a struggle (watched E01-05 so far), it is as thought all the writers from S01 left the building.

I feel like it's finally picking up the pace a bit. The first half of the episodes were building pretty slowly... But now it's finally coming together. So many weird little Easter eggs too which I'm not sure how they will fit in, or if they even mean anything haha

Not sure where it's even going to head next after tonight's episode

Definitely setting up for a big season finale.
