If you use the same percentage increase as the GT350 (1.307) the base price of this is already more than a sport tech STi though. That is quite high.

If that's the case, I don't see a lot of people willing to paying +50 OTD for a Focus.

Yep. Not affordable. Good thing I didn't get my hopes up.

Maybe see you in 10 years at an affordable price?

MSRP was too high so no one bought them so the resale due to rarity is through the rooffffffffff

I don't see the outrage for a car that is less than a Golf R in the US and slightly more than the STI. A base STI is $34,965 US and Limited is $39,995 so it appears the RS is about $1k more than an STI on average but you are getting Recaro seats, real torque vectoring AWD, and 45 more horsepower so the price increase is easily warranted. If these things get rebates like all other Focuses it will be considerably cheaper as well. No point in trying to convert it to CDN dollars as with Ford they will likely only offer it a couple of ways like the ST to keep costs down.

Sounds reasonable. Way more reasonable then the f150's.

What's the quality on the st? Everybody happy? I may look at the golf r in a year but might also take a look at these.

Shut up shut up shut up.

I'm hoping svt focus #2. Affordable but hard to find in good shape... I doubt it will turn out to be a flop, but it would be nice if it did so real enthusiasts can easily pick them up...
Still haven't been able to find a sonic blue one when I've been in the market :(

Not bad. Not perfect as they are made in Michigan. Paint issues seem to be the main complaint but that's pretty normal in this day and age of environmentally friendly paints. I haven't had any issues and am pretty happy as it's a fun little car. The RS is made in Germany so I would expect the build quality to be better than the ST.

Excellent price for USA market pending what base car equipment is. We'll see what Ford Canada prices it at. Some cars they price much higher, some cars are equal or cheaper here than USA. Being imported and where our $ sits at now, might not be good for us.

The RS is going to be a limited production vehicle? I thought it was going to become a standard production vehicle here in N/A now.

They intend to make as many as they can sell so not limited production.

I'm pretty sure BMW sold every 1M made very quickly so i don't know where you are saying MSRP was to high. 55k for a 1M was a great price. Lots of dealers added on Market Price Adjustments due to demand.

:dunno:

Who got an RS?

I called the dealership yesterday to trade in my wife's ST for an RS and they told me that they have been totally sold out for months for the entire 2016 MY run, and all of them MSRP or MSRP+. 7% interest. Mind blowing.
