Hey all - I wanted to invite everyone here to this years' annual Run of the Ogopogo. It's a pretty incredible event, although I'm somewhat biased. :D This year it is scheduled for August 13-16. That's Thursday through Sunday. Hope some of you can make it!
Run of the Ogopogo
The annual Run of the Ogopogo is one of the best Toyota meets on the calendar every year, dedicated for Toyota owners & enthusiasts. It's a unique event in that it features our very own private autocross event, our very own private mountain top chalet complete with hot tub, 2 kitchens, BBQ's, 8 bathrooms and more than enough rooms and beds. Of course, we have plenty of cruise time, photo ops, and the kinds of things you'd usually find at a car meet. Here are the highlights:

Cruises through the twisty roads of the Okanagan
Incredible photo ops
Lots of time to relax or be in the action

Where?
The annual Run of the Ogopogo is held in Vernon, BC, Canada. Vernon is situated midway between Vancouver, Seattle, and Calgary, in BC's Okanagan region, making it easily accessible from Western Canada and the PacNW.

Accomodations
We will once again return to our own, private chalet on Silverstar mountain. Lots of space, and an absolutely incredible location. The chalet features 2 kitchens, 8 bathrooms, a hot tub, 2 BBQ's, lots of paved parking, 4 living rooms, and sleeps 30+ with more than enough beds and rooms to take care of everyone. Couples are welcome. It is situated at the top of an awesome twisty drive up to the Silver Star ski hill. It is very quiet, with amazing panorama views from the property. Free Wifi is available.

Private Autocross
It's pretty rare you'd have your own private autocross event. Exclusive for Ogopogo attendees, autocross is open to individuals of all abilities. Most of us our new to it, so this is a great way to give racing a try in a completely safe and no pressure environment. We do give out some prizes for the fastest cars though, just to keep things interesting. ;)
Your car will need to pass a basic tech inspection to ensure it is safe to race. You will also need a SNELL 2005 or newer helmet, although loaner helmets are available.
All in all it is great fun. Give it a try!

Room selection is on a first pay, first get basis. If you'd like to call dibs on a specific room, let me know.
• Lodging: $160 per person, $265 per couple. Saturday BBQ and basic breakfast food included. Includes 3 nights, Thurs, Fri, Sat night.
• BBQ only, NO lodging: $10 per person
• Autocross: $40. You can pay now or at the event on Saturday the 15th.
• T-Shirt: $20 per T-shirt (specify size)
• Custom Embroidered Hat: $25 per custom embroidered hat (specify S/M, M/L, or L/XL - see size chart: http://images.lids.com/hat_tape_measure.pdf )
