Hey guys,

Ive been doing a bit of research when it comes to 4 post lifts and ive found a couple companies that sell/install them "locally":

- Lift King
- Advantage Lifts - advantagelifts.ca

Does anyone have an other options, companies, information on the situation, I will have to modify my garage door and such. Just looking for as many options as possible before pulling the trigger.

Thanks

GOnSHO

I already had to modify my garage door to open higher and install a new opener (liftmaster 8500)

Assuming your floor slab is sufficient thickness, how hard is the install?

My Dad has owned a few different brands. I will tell you stay away from LIFT KING!!! Absolute garbage quality parts, the welds look like they were done by a three year old, and the service and support is non-existent. When the lift showed up he didn't even allow it to be installed it was so hokey.

The last brand he had success with was either Superior or Supreme or something like that. It was all red, I do remember that. And it had a sliding drip tray, etc. Nice well built unit.

4 post lift, doesn't have the same slab requirements as the 2 post lifts.
4 posts lifts, most aren't even bolted to the garage floor but I would recommend it.

I know an installer who's awesome if you need.

As mentioned, 4-post lifts do not typically have a pad thickness spec as they do not put anywhere near the same forces on the slab as a 2-post does. They don't even need to be anchored to the slab, some even have lift-up wheels so you can reposition them.

Looks like price went down...or is that price under 3k excludes setup fee?
Mine is movable with lift up wheels. I highly recommend it.

My parents had two Lift Kings in their garage, we didnt have any issues and they were quick to fix any problems.

Is that what you put the Evora on? I need to start looking at something for the Cayman, just not sure what would work best. Something that takes up as little space as possible would be ideal.

Thread bump. Did the OP get a lift? I am looking at lifts now and I like the Advantage lift best. Any further input is appreciated.

I bought my 4 post Bendpak from Babco. They are great to deal with and will put you in touch with installers if you need them. I did the install with my chumpcar team (as it's to make room for the chumpcar). It took the three of us a full day to get the heavy parts together and to a point where I could finish the rest by myself. It is neat to put it together yourself so you understand how it works and what kind of maintenance would be needed. Bendpak are a bit more money, but they have a great reputation and look pretty hot. I bolted mine to the floor because even the little bit of movement that high up was making me nervous. I didn't want to worry about the posts becoming less than vertical if it wiggled its way off the shims.

Which lift did you get a price on?

Pro Park 8S or 8 Plus?

He gave me a price of $3600 for the 8 Plus + install.
