Acadia, not on the list in 2014 jumps to 3rd for 2015 while Arbour Lake drops to #4 from #1.

This list is so random with some big changes at the bottom. Obviously it's based on respondents that likely live in the neighborhoods and the changes are probably due to them moving

OR... because of the new cycle tracks the Beltline is just that much better :)

Apparently no one from Woodlands/ Woodbine/ Canyon meadows voted.

I grew up in Woodlands and attribute how awesome my childhood was to that. Growing up with Fish Creek in your backyard was incredible.

This list has never, ever made any sense to me.

Forest Lawn even being on the list blows my mind.

I didn't even see that till now...wouldn't it actually be considered Calgary's WORST neighbourhood?? Except for the pho of course..
I can't rationalize any of this.

Avenue does horrible "Best of" lists, including restaurants.:thumbsdow

Why is this even being discussed? Avenue is like 80% ads and 20% fluff pieces. Fox news has more credibility IMO.

I believe you mean the communities with people who read avenue magazine list 2015

Now that the Black Series has left Arbour Lake, dropping to 4th place makes total sense.

Based on a free magzine's "...active, affluent and sophisticated consumers."

http://www.avenuecalgary.com/About-Us/

I think they need a better definition of affluent and sophisticated if they'd rank Brentwood as #2?? Judging by the top ranked neighborhoods, I'd guess their readership is comprised of broke-ass university students and other early to mid twenty somethings. How can East Village be so far removed in rankings compared to Downtown commercial core (8 VS 49)?!!

Inglewood was named the greatest neighborhood in Canada around 9 months ago.

You say that like its a bad thing. I need a close coffee shop so that I can leech off some Wifi.
