Nice. Do want. Few more years and will be getting an ATS-V or CTS-V for sure! Miss my old CTS :(

All the forums are questioning the ATS-V's acceleration times from this article, because nobody has been able to come close to that 1/4 mile numbers in the real world. That trap speed is 8mph higher than anyone's been able to achieve.
Wonder if GM sent them a ringer or something.

Do want. Jeez, it wouldn't be least bit hard to tune that engine and get some staggering numbers from it with just light bolt ons.

Marchionne sent some mechanics from maranello to try and get gm buttered up for a merger

Nice stats - slightly padded or not.
But man - what's with a car in that class having such horrible interior room?

ATS placed 3rd out of 3 cars in that test... :dunno:
^Also is $10,000+ cheaper than the cars it went up against.
The reported acceleration and lateral G figures are pretty great for this car but I guess we will have to wait for the first deliveries until we get reliable figures on the acceleration.

They are compact cars. Honda Civics are in the same class.
Really? Wow... Just for curiosity's sake I decided to lcompare their dimensions.
Here are the Cadillac dimensions:
Wheelbase: 109.3 in
Length: 184.0 in
Width: 71.3 in Height: 55.7 in
Passenger volume: 84 cu ft
Cargo volume: 10 cu ft
Curb weight: 3800 lb
And here (http://www.edmunds.com/honda/civic/2015/?tab-id=specs-tab&sub=) are the one's for the Civic:
Wheelbase: 105.1 in
Length: 179.4 in
Width: 69 in Height: 56.5 in
Interior volume: 107.1 cu ft
Cargo volume: 12.5 cu ft
Curb weight: 2811 lb
That weight difference, Caddy's a porker as expected.

As you can tell, some of that discount comes in the interior

I'm surprised that 1980s dash layout got approved for a 2014 car.
I can tolerate the bad fit and finish for styling but that dash is a huge deal breaker.

When I drove the ATS 2.0L, the dash also felt weird to me. Just felt so cheap when other cars lower in price have a way nicer look.

That thing gets after it in the high speeds, holy crap. Almost 300km/h in a 70k car.

I disagree. The ATS interior, in comparison to cars in its price (CLA250, A3, BMW 2) was miles ahead in person. Mibz and I both loved the ATS interior in comparison to cars in its price range.

"Beyond the steering wheel are gauges that are more appropriate for a Chevy Cruze; Lexus did better gauges 25 years ago."
Found that quite amusing for sure.

I thought I was reading Motor Trend.
Motor Trend actually got a MUCH lower trap speed.
