edit: NSFW. man just like wtf... im still in utter disbelief

edit #2: this news segment is just the saddest segment ever, starts off with the sub headline of justin wilson passing away from a race accident due to flying debris and then this happens.

What the hell is wrong with people? I'm curious as to the motive at play, some random crazy gunman or was it something personal? Either way, senseless.

R.I.P.

The world is simply just getting downhill. I'm thinking maybe exposure may be motive

There's no way it wasn't something personal.

Brutal. I can imagine that the guy waited for the broadcast to start.

First thing I thought is girls ex maybe?

Shitty and cowardly either way. Such a senseless act

I heard on the radio this morning that it was a disgruntled employee, and the two killed were a couple.

Absolutely crazy. It's left me rather speechless. Reminds me all the little problems in life are just that.

Shooter recorded the killings from first person view and posted them to his twitter and facebook, won't link the vids but you can find them easily. Super fucked up.

yeah, the video from shooter perspective is just f&@#* nasty and wrong...this reminded me of Lin jun murder video....that was pretty nasty as well..... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :barf: :barf:

Does curiosity get the better of people? Have no idea why someone would want to watch a murder take place, let alone from a first-person view of the shooter.

Just got a notification on my phone. The killer has committed suicide.

Shot himself on the interstate but is still alive but in critical condition so I read.

Curiosity but to sum the video is more so twisted in the idea that he just stands there with his gun and chills. The shooting you see nothing (imagine holding a pistol and trying to selfie, won't stay still).
He just lurks behind the cameraman for 20-30 seconds standing. That's the messed up part

^ He was waiting for the camera man to pan back to the reporter so he gets her being shot on air, you can see in the original vid that the camera man is showing the view then moves over to the interview.

Right that makes sense, but just seeing him draw and then patiently wait is so disturbing

Disgruntled former employee of the station. Doesn't sound like he likes the two victims neither.

It seems like more and more fucked up details are coming out as the day goes on. Apparently the fiancée of the cameraman was working in the TV control room (it was also her last day before moving to a new job in another city) and she had to watch her future husband get gunned down on live television right in front of her eyes.

Nothing new, things actually used to be a lot worse if you look at the stats from the past 100 years. Now, every time someone steps on an ant it makes it to the politically biased and fear-based corporate news - and on social media.

That was a different tv station in Florida he was dismissed from. He was dismissed from this particular one two years ago.

Sounds like this guy was a pain in the ass to work with and any problems he had, he'd blame his issues on other people and pull the race card.

WDBJ-TV president and general manager Jeff Marks said Flanagan was fired from the station two years ago, and that police were called to escort him from the building.

“Vester was an unhappy man,” Marks said during the station’s noon newscast. “He had a reputation for being difficult to work with.”

Flanagan’s former employer in Tallahassee described a similar environment 16 years ago. In response to Flanagan’s discrimination lawsuit, WTWC said he was actually fired for using profanity at work, misbehaving around co-workers and refusing to follow directions. Among other allegations, Flanagan claimed a producer at the station called him a “monkey” and that a black co-worker was told to “stop talking ebonics.”

What. The.

No words for this.
I hope the guy recovers, he doesn't deserve to take the easy way out.

The guy has been fucked for a very long time. He sent of a manifesto to ABC a few hours after the murder.

Unfortunately I think this will mouth motivate some deranged white guy to shoot blacks with massive media coverage, which will motivate some deranged black guy to respond in kind and we'll have a vicious cycle.

Fast food. Pay cash.

Tip jar? Keep a handful of nickels on you at all times and drop it in. ZenOps would be proud.

Always be prepared my friends.
