Lost my motorbikes registration.

I bought a bike, got the VIN ahead of time to get insurance, went and picked up the bike and on the ride home the registration card and bill of sale fell out of my pocket.

Has anyone ever had to deal with this before or can lend any insights?

Had you registered the vehicle yet? If so go to a registry and get a new one printed. Nominal fee for the effort.

If not go back to previous owner and redo paperwork then get it registered?

I had not registered it yet, I was in possession of the registration for about 5 minutes.

I googled, none of those links apply to my issue.

I'm just going to make up another bill of sale and kindly ask the previous owner to sign it.
