View Full Version : Warranty Registration Cards, pointless or important?

Does it seem odd that in today's digital age you are still supposed to mail a piece of paper to a company after you buy a product from them?

What happens if you don't do it, is the warranty null and void?

If warranty is good without mailing registration in, then why are they asking us to do this pointless task?

Any experts on this subject please weigh-in.

I never fill mine in. When it comes to warranty, I just show receipt.

Never send them in, it's just a way for companies to harvest your personal contact info so they can spam you.

Exactly. I have only done it once in my lifetime...and it was because they offered double warranty for doing it

They do serve another purpose, generally in the event of a recall you are notified directly from the manufacturer. That being said, I don't fill mine out.
