How about the Ministry of beerdrinking. Or the Ministry of checking up on peoples citizenship because Donald Trump wants his money back.

It does seem a little strange just to single out something so specific that probably should just be included - say - in regular policeforcing or the scope of the RCMP.

RCMP are there to deal with direct acts or laws that are broken. Not to investigate the past social history of families, they don't have the time, training, or resources to address these social issues. To determine if a woman had been involved in forced marriage is going to take a lot of interviewing and questioning by workers in the social services field. Police will be brought in only after the social worker can confirm that a woman lost her female organs or is in a marriage against her will.

The fact this draws outrage by proves how much this law is needed. At the very least it will bring awareness to some of these barbaric acts that are very prevalent in many cultures that have no business in Canada.

Who decides what is Barbaric? The government? By that rationale, Asian countries probably should ban all knives and forks as eating utensils, because they are very barbaric compared to civilized modern chopsticks.

Cultural practices are that. In North America, you are not allowed to show the female breast in public. In the middle east, you aren't supposed to show the female face (cheeks, lips) in public.

Really what is a female breast, its a slighty fattier little bit jigglier version of a man nipple. Barbaric nipple coverers!

There is arguably nothing that you have not ever done or said that would be considered by everyone around you to be an act of Barbarism at one point in time. So lets all go to jail?
