Wife just freaked out when she saw this outside our front step. I'm not a fan of reptiles either so I put a bucket over it with a bag of concrete on top. :dunno:
If you want a new pet come get it. What should I be doing with this thing?

My kid had one it lived for like 12 years. Garden Salamander
If you want just release it at nose hill park by the creek lots there.

Nice tiger. I have seen a few around the bow but I think they hide from the big trout.

Well spotted in Mahogany last night. Not transporting this thing to a park because I don't want to touch it. Freaks me out. :barf:

Definitely a tiger salamander. Those little guys are adorable! I haven't seen one in ages... please tell me you let it go?

yeah, regular run of the mill salamander. Typically found in moist areas and in mud.
Totally harmless, and a lot of people have them in aquariums as pets.

I haven't found one of these in Alberta for 20 years.
Cool find.

That's a good spot. I don't think they are technically "rare", but they aren't actually spotted that often.

He's alive and released back in the pond/wetland area here in Mahogany.
