an 88 or 89... are these cars any good?, are there diffrent types of engines in these years of cars?.. which engine would be better?, are they any good for engin mods... like turbo's and maybe other stuff too?

also what is one of them worth in good condition?

They are hard to find in good condition, usually quite rusty. I had an 88 back in the day, mine was an SI and pretty slow. There is not much aftermarket support for them, and for one in good condition I would say around 4g.

Not worth it IMO. I owned an 89 for awhile. They're good looking cars but that's about it. The aftermarket is really weak, consisting of mostly bolt on stuff. There hasn't been very many impressive gains with turbos, and there's no reasonable engine swaps.
Your best bet is a DSM, 240sx, rx7, etc...

I had an 89 and it was a good reliable car. No aftermarket support though. :thumbsdow

My brother might be selling his to more like his older brother and drive a DSM. It is in awesome shape but if you are looking to modify, it might not be for you. Intake, Exhaust, hmmm what else could a guy do? Nothing comes to mind. They are very reliable though. PM me if you are interested in taking a look. He will be coming to Calg from Chuck next friday, the 28th of march. By the way, it's a 90 or a 91 "s" with sunroof.
