So... The new Bond flick. Saw it last night.

I really enjoyed it. Better than Skyfall.

The movie was full of nods and homages to past Classic bond films. Touches of Goldfinger, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, For Your Eyes Only, The Spy Who Loved Me, etc.

The opening pre-credits action scene was awesome! (The title song not so much)

Two problems with the film:

1) the main villain's backstory reveal. Very contrived and completely implausible.

2) any attempts at plot "twists". You could see them coming a mile away. Nothing original here. Heck sometimes it seemed like they were using the Jack Bauer/24 playbook.

But overall still a great watch and worth seeing on the big screen!

I really enjoyed it, too! The typical Bond pre-credit action scene was really good. It's definitely a movie worth seeing in IMAX.

Love Monica Bellucci as well, simply beautiful.

Lack of plot twists were a problem, too ovbious, no thinking necessary.
Good action scenes.
Overall, I liked Skyfall better. But good entertainment in this one.

Yea it was alright. The syndicate seems more badass than Spectre but Bond can wreck Ethan handily haha

It wasn't as good as the last few IMO. This was more like Bond finding his roots but the overall action was pretty good.

The use of the Christoph Waltz was poor, You would think the big guy driving the Jag was the bad dude in the first half of the movie. Liked the action sequences and still entertaining to watch.

Taratino has typecasted Waltz. Nothing but a Taratino script seems to work for that guy.

+1, not nearly as deep as it should have been. More like a Bourne. Not disappointed like I was for the one I always forget the name after Casino Royale but not nearly at Skyfall level.

This...I enjoyed watching Spectre...but preferred Skyfall...

I did appreciate all the little tie ups and nods back to the others in the Craig series...

Decent movie, thought skyfall was better as well. It was thoroughly entertaining. I think if they wanted to tie this all in as spectre like they did they should have done it more in the old style and dropped more hints in the other movies, had spectre meetings etc. I don't like tiding up loose ends so quickly in a bond film like they did. Just felt off to me i dunno..

Also i am not convinced i like how active a role M plays in the movie the last couple times around.

Also thought the DB10 was but ugly, they should have used a new vanquish for this one. The land rovers and the jag were pretty sweet though.

I don't think they could've done what you're suggesting.

They only JUST got the rights back to the Spectre & Blofeld properties recently after that decades long legal battle.

Started off with a bang and went out with a whimper. Monica Bellucci is great as usual but Lea Seydoux is unreal.

Overall I still liked the movie but Waltz was a disappointing villain and the final act was a snooze fest. I just watched the trailer again for Skyfall and it was definitely better. The trailers for these movies totally ruins it for me. They show you every action scene in the movie before you go in. It's ridiculous.

Yeah she is a real beaut. Found that scene on the train in that classy dress... but didn't notice the guy behind her looking at her ass
