My kids came home from school yesterday saying that there were some brown kids that we going to be celebrating the festival of lice today.
I'm not sure, but I infer they might have been East Indian.
How can this even be appropriate? I thought it was prudent to keep the kids home from school today lest they bring anything home.
Why do people insist in bringing their barbaric practices to Canada?
Update: Apparently this exercise in arthropod veneration has a name... It's called Deep Valley. Perhaps that's where they get the lice from? :dunno:

Well gents,
I fear this is where I take my leave of this site.
I've always enjoyed the discussions and personas on beyond, and value you all. Unfortunately, this latest exercise in mischief-making has overshot the mark into acrimony, and I fear may have caused others real distress.
Beyond is one of those rare sites where people actually take the time to explore their ideas, and consider the ideas of others, and for that, I have valued it. It's been over a decade now of beyonding, and it's time to find other pastures.
