Nice work!

Do you typically use the Schluter trim around the niches?

you left out the part about putting in the grout! not to mention, shouldn't there be tile on the ceiling as well (could those heavy tiles stay up on ceiling or are they too heavy?)

The grouting would be a 5 second video ;)

Customer's option. Ceiling isn't necessary. And yes you can put those tile on the ceiling. I've put up tile that are 3'x10' (yes FEET) on the ceiling.

Just an FYI, a light year is a measurement of distance and not time.

What's your opinion on tile floor vs fiberglass? Cost wise and longevity? I really want a tile floor but not sure it's worth it.

Cost wise, a tile floor is more expensive. Fiberglass pan will start at around $500-600, installed. Same tiled pan will be around $1,000.

A tiled pan will last a lifetime (if done properly), the other will get scratched and dulled after time.

Also the tiled pan can be adapted to any shape or size. Fiberglass you're stuck with pre-designed shapes and sizes.

One is "higher-end". The other is "economy".

What looks nicer?

Thanks for the answer I think I'd have to do tile anyway as I need a odd ball shape.
