Unless you are one of hundreds that ditched on QE2 without winter tires.

In the early 90's I drove my old Ramcharger around with no roof for a big chunk of the year, went pretty deep into winter before I put the hardtop back on.

Above 7c they do start to wear a little more rapidly. Moreover, those with studs will be eating the roads faster

I still remember '97 (at least I think it was '97)

Shorts on Christmas. Then a Blizzard in mid-March that made everyone forget about the warm start to winter

Speaking of chinooks, it was really odd to walk out of the saddledome last night after the game at ~10pm and have warm wind blowing in my face. Car reported temperature of +10. I've never had that happen to me after a game in December, ever. Climate change is real guys.

Seems quite normal for this time of the year.

Have a look at Calgary weather history on Wunderground.

Today in 1960 it was 4 °C

Average temperature was -3 °C

This sucks, my little girl is 1yr old now and I want to take her tobogganing but there is no damn snow!
As for the car, I haven't even bothered to throw on my winter wheels yet.

Go west, tons of snow out there. Think west Bragg has a good amount, or at least did from a report from a friend

Climate change is real, its been happening for billions of years and will keep happening long after were gone.

I recall riding my bicycle a warm day in Calgary on the 25th of Dec back in 2007 - we also have short term climate oscillations. Its raining buckets more than usual on the west coast thanks to El Nino this winter.

I couldn't see 50 feet out my window when I posted earlier. Then like 10 minutes later it all cleared up, now it's just wet out.
