best controller for jnes

in windows 10 x64. any suggestions? something that just plugs in and works, looks like a driver issue with my old Logitech. thinking of either the Logitech f310 or the basic buffalo game pad. prefer something that doesn't need drivers to be downloaded or installed.

Xbox 360 and One controllers work out of the box with Win 10, I use both regularly.
