Pretty soon all the guys I've been saying "I can't believe he's not dead yet" about will actually be dead and I'm not gonna have anything to say.

Metal isn't really my genre, but I have huge respect for this man. I'm sure he's finding a quiet corner of heaven and making it loud.

Brutal to hear he'd passed, Lemmy was a true legend. Crazy how quick it was from diagnosis to death. :(

If you haven't checked his documentary out, it's well worth it.

Lemmy was Lemmy. He really was one of a kind. There had been rumours over the past few months that he hadn't been doing very well.

RIP

Heard something on he radio that he drank a bottle of jack every day and slept with over 1,000 women. Still made it to 70. What a king.

He wasn't doing well. Canceled shows etc.

He was diagnosed Boxing Day, but I'm sure being Lemmy he had terminal stage four way before that and he shrugged it off like a boss.

70 is to young in my eyes, but he lived as long as wanted to I'm sure.

He truly did what he wanted, when, however and told everyone else to fuck right off.

Huntess' Jill Janus wrote a song about him called I want to fuck you to death. Great tune lol.

When I heard he wasn't doing well I thought to myself it probably wasn't good. The likelihood is that Lemmy would have let things get pretty bad before seeking any professional care.

One of the best metal documentaries I've seen.

Moterhead was the king of crappy hard rock. None the less, Lemmy's seemingly attitude is an inspiration.

But c'mon, "Ace Of Spades". Seriously?

Prince of Darkness.

Although Lemmy hated being called anything related to metal as he was pure rock and roll in his eyes.

Edit: Google search claims them both godfathers of metal but Ozzy as either prince or godfather. :dunno:

English singer Ozzy Osbourne has been identified as the "Godfather of Heavy Metal" and the "Prince of Darkness"

Yea, pretty sure Black Sabbath is most credited with inventing the genre.

None of that is metal.

I'm thinking Priest.

Crappy hard rock? What kind of rock do you think is better? Firehouse? Slaughter? Winger? Motorhead is the origin of all meaningful rock music.
