So my folks tv has crapped out. Powers on but no picture. Pretty sure the DLP lamp is done.

Anyone know where to buy locally that is reasonable some of the online prices make it seem like buying a new tv is easier. I can pull the hole assemably and strip down to the bulb but cant seem to find the bulb online?

TV is a Panasonic specific bulb is a phillips 000003039

Thanks

seems like everyone wants to sell the whole housing. Wish I could just source the bulb itself. We really are a throw away society lol.

Rage can you just walk into that place or online only?

I call them, make sure it's in stock, tell them I'm coming and walk in. It's not a store front, it's just an office there.

You're right, these things aren't cheap since it's always the full housing. Depending on the size of the DLP TV, you might be better off getting a LCD instead.

They might be local but the difference in price between them and some place I just bought a bulb with from ontario is $150, and thats including the shipping cost.

Link? And was it OEM? Lots of knockoff bulbs out there.

Thankfully laser projectors are now quite affordable, so it shouldn't be long until we no longer have to worry much about bulbs or light degradation.

These guys are the cheapest I have found for the 2 bulbs I need:
