Thought I'd share my experience with having a custom tune done, Cobb hardware, by Stratified Auto Controls (out of Vancouver).
http://www.stratifiedauto.com/index.php

Highlights: a tune is by far the best bang for buck. With my previous cars that I've built ('65 Bug, '92 Jetta, '88 Cobra, '93 Notch fox body, '72 Dart), I've never been able to spend ~$600 and come out at the end with such a noticeable change (I get this is just modern tuning..)

I don't have formal numbers yet...will be out to "the rollers" within the month.

Hope you enjoy the read...

Read your article. Glad you got good results. So your not done yet? When u going into the dyno? Or are you waiting till it warms up?

Where did you get ur suction cup for the AP? I bought my AP used and i got the case however it didn't come with the part that clips into the case, so I'm just trying to find other ideas. I don't really wanna spend $100 CAD for the A-Pillar piece.

The suction cup style magnetic mount came from a cell phone holder I bought from Canadian Tire for $19. Cobb's AP 3 has a metal plate in the back, mag ready.

Planning to dyno between now and Spring.... :)

Still need to get a stratified tune, been meaning to do it for over a year. I guess I should unbrick my accessport and get the ball rolling

Made a huge difference when I did it to my ST.
