International TXT Messaging

Just wondering i know CDMA phones cannot send international Text messages but is it possible for them to recieve????

I'm pretty sure that you can't. I don't think it is the CDMA that limits it but the service offered by the provider. Don't quote me on this though.

TELUS can now sent int'l to VODAPHONE in the uk, VODAPHONE owns a share of telus, so thats probably why!

I know a girl from New Zealand who got a cell here and receives txt messages from her 'mates' in New Zealand all of the time. Unfortunately I do not know who her plan is through.

With Telus sending and receiving international text messages is a hit or miss kind of thing. There's pretty much only a 10-15% chance of it actually working. With odds like that chances are international text messages isn't going to work all that well.
