Is that the rumour? Should we start a why spend 200k on a Nissan thread in his name? Lol.

All Canadian models come with the factory handmade titanium exhaust. Baller

It's pretty ugly but looks are kind of secondary to performance with these cars.

I think it looks like a legit race car, well done to whoever owns that beast

It's like a 90s mustang

Beautiful car

I have always found those (any GTR) to be basically like Dodge Neon SRT-4's. Amazing performance for the money, will outperform cars costing way more, but still an ugly looking car with cheap looking interior from a below average car company. :dunno:

If all you care about is outright bang for the buck, then I guess. But if I was to spend that much money on a car there is a long list of things I would by first.

The car is nice for sure but for the price tag I would look at a base model and do my own mods for less (Akrapovic exhaust, software, wheels etc) and still be far under the asking price of the Nismo.

Congrats to the new owner :D

To those who say the interior is "cheap and awful", have you sat in one? As a GT-R owner, I'm curious to know.

It's definitely no Bentley, or even a (optioned-out) Porsche inside, but should it be? Surely it's basic compared to those cars, but the interior is nice enough for me.

Let's say Nissan increased the price of the base GT-R by $30K and gave it an incredible interior, as good or better than any Bentley, Lambo, etc. Then you'd be asking what the hell Nissan is doing, it's "not a Bentley, Lambo, etc, why are they trying to be one", "why should I be paying that price for a Nissan?". I guess that's what GT-R haters do, haha. Wow, the value for money is good? Bash the looks/interior. Wow, they released an upgraded GT-R? Bash the price. Can't win! lol

I know I didn't buy one so I could have a moccacino interior with custom red stitching and alcantara in places you can't even see.

And the Neon SRT comparison...., ok then. BTW, I don't live and breathe GT-R. I don't even think the Nismo is worth the mark-up either, other than being a collector's car. I'm just trying to understand how people think.

Gorgeous car. Always had a thing for GTR's even though their looks are unconventional so to speak. Didn't realize only 20 Nismo's here either, that's super rare. When I picked up my M3, a GTR was in close running and I still might down the line. But after a high end SUV before.

Looks like they're going for $182K out the door. Hell of a car, but after driving the base GTR and a 991 GT3, I'd take the GT3 no doubt.

Meh... Really not a fan of GTR's. Much better cars out there for the money.

Sure, you can mod a regular spec GTR and get more bang for your buck, but if you were able to get your hands on one of these Nismos you have a car that will be worth more than the sticker price in the near future, if not the moment you drive it off the lot. While i agree that the markup is quite high for the package, there is definitely a market for it just like any other limited edition street legal race car (GT3RS, Speciale, 675LT, etc.)

I think it looks fantastic

Would I buy one if I had 185K to spend, no, but it is a very nice piece of machinery.

That's what I'd be worried about. Nissan's done a great job of devaluing the old models with every new release, limited or not.

Guys are asking well North of 70K for 2010's I'd say they've held their value quite well :dunno: Though asking price and selling price are two different things.

179,900 + freight, PDI, AC, DOCS, and GST.

It's roughly $190,700 OTD. Go south Edmonton asked me if I was interested in their black nismo for that price. Then a couple weeks later I see they're asking
195,999 + all fees.

I think Nismo R32's are worth around their original MSRP price now. The R35 has the highest MSRP compared to all other gens which should help it be viewed as more exclusive. Guessing future values on vehicles is almost always a losing proposition, but i guess time will tell.

Fair enough.

EDIT: I wasn't even thinking of previous generations, just R35, but yeah I guess the proof is right there.

I like the blue marshmallows on the front bumper. Adds to the cartoony Japanese look they're going for.

I think there is. Especially for the limited ones. VSPEC, VSPEC II, Nur spec, Z-tune (worth a fuckin fortune), 400R.
