Why is it with kids and valve stems?

Why is it that i cant have a nice set of valve stems last more then a week :dunno: i swear i'm gonna end up killing some little kid, cause sooner or later i'll catch them :guns:

Does anyone else have this problem?


(i realized its a small easily replaceable item, but still :dunno: )

i actually watched these little kids (13yo) try and jack my BBS valve caps.. i was sitting in the car when they, bent over to steal them, i opened the door, and they ran before i can say anything...

Yea, i've been through three sets. I just use the rubber ones now, no one really notices anyways

I have seen the Caps now with a key needed to remove them...


Kind of a neat-o idea, they come with the standard logos...ie Honda, Acura, VW...I just can't remember where I saw them exactly...:dunno:

I used to have the same problem until i moved out of the hood. At one point I never bothered replacing them.:D

Haha - this topic came up a few months ago. As an ex-chronic valve cap thief, all I can say is they are cheap, shiny and looked good on my BMX. The only reason I stole 50+? Cause they kept getting jacked off my bike and needed to keep replacing them. The only ones safe from me and the boys were the black plastics. And a couple, we did steal the valve pins. :eek: (Felt guilty as hell about those, we probably screwed up several peoples days).

And the utter irony? My car has black plastic caps.

ive never even heard of this before! damn thats ghetto. u should try leave a few coins on the ground next to your car when u park. maybe they will go for the dimes and nickels instead..

I "had" them on my car forever with no troubles then got new tires and they dissapeared!!!:thumbsdow well its not like i didnt know who took them, they were on before the shop, not on after??? where could they have gone?

they were gone by the time i noticed. not a big deal though as they are a little gitchy for me.
