M5 or GTR. Probably more on the M5 for 4 doors. Since I've now had 2 bmw's and I know what to expect from them, other than shitty maintenance, I love these cars and I hope to own one for the rest of my car owning days.

New to me.

Probably gonna get a different daily driver. Leaning towards a 2012 Civic EX sedan. Probably getting it this summer.

I really want a corolla gts with an s2000 engine. If I don't find a decent one then probably NSX. I have 2 mid engine iconic 90s cars in red with pop ups, I just need the 3rd one.

Porsche GT4. I have no idea how it drives but it simply looks perfect haha but from reading on here you can't get one anyway.

Buys 145k BMW i8 to save on gas haha

Top contenders for me in the far far future would be GT4/Lotus Evora/GT350R or... ND Miata :P

I really want a Macan GTS or an SQ5 ( depending on finances, the audi is ~ 10-15 k cheaper the way i spec them).

But who knows every time i have bought a car it has been spur of the moment with no prior planning. Makes me feel like the Macan/Q5 is doomed to never happen.

More likely is picking up a CPO diesel Touareg for the wife to replace the FJ cruiser. Some good prices out there on these.

Also Phreak i have no idea how your train of thought works :nut:

Replace Fiesta with an i8 to save on gas?

Or on another hand buying a raptor lol.

Going to get rid of the GTR this year and have a few on the radar including GT350, new Camaro. Really like the boxster spyder too since the GT4 is out of reach.

But if the economy is still bleak S2000 with built k24 is what I'm shooting for.

Has to be the right year, right colour with the right options at the right price.

I suppose if I were buying new then it'd be less of an issue, but I can't afford any of the new cars that I want, haha.

C450 is still top of my list.

I must be getting old because somehow I kinda like the new Caddy CT6 as daily driver (or the fact that they can get a S class size sedan with AWD and AWS and weight less than the C450).

I've been flipping between a few different cars, but have narrowed it down to vehicles with dealerships in Winnipeg. So that leaves me with R8, 911 Turbo, AMG GT, SLS AMG ( ), new NSX (not likely to happen before summer).

Walked into the MB dealer here and was looking at the AMG GT pretty hard for a while, getting familiar with the angles, etc. but I must have looked too poor to buy one because the group of salesman 30 ft away didn't both with me.

The SLS AMG is my top choice, but prices are going up (FFS) and options are limited.

SLS are so cramped inside. Raced one in Vegas and it was a terrible seating position. If you're 5'10" or shorter should be ok.

I fit the SLS fine. Be careful though, the SLS has been known to go through trannys every 25-30k miles, with a $30k repair bill each time.

The GT-S uses the same transmission but at least it's under warranty. It's the same old Getrag that's problematic on the 458, California, McLarens, etc.

Must have been because of my helmet maybe. I'm fairly broad so it wasn't great for me. The 458 fit me like a glove

Next car? Well, it will be a work vehicle and I'm leaning towards a van, full size probably - if the right 80-90's boogie van or a 60's van came along, I'd seriously consider that as well.

That's kind of funny, exact opposite for me, I can honestly say only one car I've ever bought has been a true impulse buy (and I've owned close to 50 cars), like "huh, noticed this on kijiji", call the guy, its still for sale, test drive it, go get the cash and done.

That was this Corolla last year:
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e98/hitempguy/0a9baba4-0daf-4037-8772-edcd2e8cd44d_zpso43h2roa.jpg

I was drooling over a used C63 amg for 2016 or a new Focus RS... but I might be buying some land to build an acreage on. Dunno if that has me :D or  , but I have to have my priorities straight, and the acreage should allow me to better manage my racing (said no one ever)

Going to put the c63 for sale in a few months here. Gonna miss the hell out of that thing. As far as what I was going to get I am considering a new 10th Gen civic si as a daily only if it has a 2.0t engine. Focus rs and sti are on my radar if the sti was to get the newly developed 2.0t engine... but I don't feel comfortable spending 50k on a focus, they are pretty ugly IMO. I will probably just drive my 8th gen civic for a while and wait to find a car worthy.

So many on the want list, but so many that would go to waste on Calgarys roads/climate

Probably end up with some beater if I manage to get a job in the city, would try to make that at least a little bit interesting

When it comes to cars I wish I could be back in the UK, just for the cheapness and availability of decent spec'd cars, and good roads to drive them on :)

Next car is 2 years away for me. If I go down to 1 car, it'd be the new E63S Wagon coming out next year. If I stick with the winter/summer car combo, I'd probably get another GLA45 for the winter, and a C63S Coupe for the summer.

Really all depends on how the USD/CAD plays out and if we're going to get some hyperinflation price jumps for cars. If car prices skyrockets back to what it was like 15 years ago (basically a 50% jump), I'd just keep what I have now for a few more years.

-2015/16 Porsche C4S

I've casually been looking for an original (non-riced out) CRX for a while but really need more garage space before I buy another car. Plus most are in the states and the exchange rate makes it a little more difficult to justify.

Also depending on how good the new Civic Type R or S2000 end up I could see one of those making its way into my garage (or lack of garage space).

For my daily, as soon as the economy allows I want to ditch the '16 1500 Longhorn and go back to a 2500, probably another Laramie with a standard if they still offer it in a year or two. I'm trying to learn to love the gasser half-ton, but it hasn't grown on me yet. It's just a truck, where the 2500 made me smile every day.

For the fun car, I'll advertise the Z06 in the spring and see if it can find a new home, preferably south of the border where I can maybe get a little extra due to the dollar. Next fun car will probably be a low $ project (thinking '49-54 Chev) while I wait out the economy.

I've been juggling two options. Both are around 6-10K choices. The wife and I plan on upgrading our house in the next year if the 500-600K houses take more of a dive.

1) I have been looking at Buick Lucernes to replace my '96 Roadmaster. I drove a 2008 CXS with the 4.6L Northstar and it was a beautiful car but I'm just not sure about the longevity of the Northstar engines. I'm leaning more towards a CXL with the 3.8L and leather interior, just need to find the right color/interior combo.

2) Sell my Roadmaster and my '83 Dodge and buy a newer truck, probably early 2000s GM if I can get one low enough mileage.

I just don't think I can part with my Dodge.....so the likely move will be option 1

For once, I'm quite content with my current fleet. Keeping my Taco/Cayman for the forseeable future, since it's a pretty badass winter/summer combo (IMHO).

Five years down the road, however, we will probably start looking at adding another vehicle. Realistically, probably look at either a Lexus IS350AWD (unless they bring the ISF back...) or a Macan S.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a Lotus Evora 400 though...:D

Well I am heavily entrenched in the oil and gas industry, and while I haven't faced the severe impact to my income yet it will come. Even if I am able to keep my job, I know my compensation will drop in the form of reduced bonuses and stocks, I am also on a two year pay freeze.

With that in mind I am hoarding my money and not buying anything. I was really set on picking up my 997 Turbo this year, but I can't justify it to myself with a wife and two kids to take care of and all the uncertainty in the market right now. :dunno:

I'll probably be making a thread about it when the time comes. I'm also looking at the Lancer.
Mar th dictates you get a veloster when considering a civic.

Definitely selling the Volvo, as for the replacement it depends on what happens with economy and CDN/USD exchange rate. Ideally a Focus RS or perhaps a 996 Turbo.

On the flip side, if work really picks up, and actually it is looking pretty good right now, I might get a new 4x4. I've been missing my Hummer since I let it go in anticipation of moving to Van. I am really liking the new 2017 Ford Raptor. It is really the only 4x4 that is peaking my interest these days.

Having seen the Raptor in person, it really fucking nice. Little gremlins in my 2010 are starting to appear and so it might be time to upgrade.

The only thing I am weary of with the Ecoboost. I wish they would do a big NA V8 or a TT V8. With all the issues I've seen here with the Ecoboost, I might wait for the 2018 model.

Or if I really strike it rich an NSX.

I can't get over the prices of Intergra Type R's these days. Nice, stock clean ones are selling for over 30k US.

I totally get that. But low end grunt won't help when the motor isn't running in the bush.

The ecoboost is lots of fun off the line... But that little turbo runs out of air pretty quick, and it is terrible on gas at anything over 120km/h since it's constantly in boost since it comes in so low, the biggest issues are with box tunes.... Cough... Cos.... Cough

I think the s2k/ITR will become collector cars. We'll see them on petrolicious in 15 years. High revving lightweight cars are dead.

Do you think there are too many S2000's around for them to become collector cars?

I can somewhat see why the ITR would be desireable due to the low production numbers. The S2000' are all over the place with 10 years of production.

But bro they don't even have 300 horsepowers.

Every couch racer on Facebook tells me I need boost or my car is slow. I think in 20 years the NA cars will be remembered better than the turbo stuff.

Something small, fun, and reliable. Great looking car.

You let me know how many truly stock S2k and ITR's are out there that could ever possibly be collectible.

I think they will be an extremely niche collectors product if anything.

I guess it will be interesting to see what the market is like for them in 15 years.

They seem to have an undeserved repuation for "no torque" that many have bought into.

When modified, collectors will tend to shy away.

2.5 years of owning an FR-S ... agree the hype is a little agressive. For a front engine, RWD, manual 2 door with a factory LSD and decent handling ... under 30K they were only comparible to GT's and Genesis, but nobody likes mustangs and like hell I'm buying a genesis. So within that bracketry (IMO) it was correct hype - but for all other purposes for the car... it was useless marketing because once everyone drove it with all that excitement and felt how gutless it is ... it was like coming down off a 2-day coke binge... it hurt more than if you just got a little drunk on excitement.

S2000. What an awesome car that was. Always smiled while driving it.
