Quebec doesn't want our shitty oil, expect when it comes to billions in transfer payements from such, or the simple fact that we'll all fucking DIE without oil.

BTW Quebec. You were defeated by the English a long time ago. The only reason you even exist is due to moronic bleeding hearts.

So you Quebec have some inclination to remove yourself from the collective? You have referendums on such a thing? Well here's an idea, how about the rest of the provinces have a referendum on kicking your ass out?

I like the rant. I do however think the Energy East conversation needs to focus on why it's good for Canada as opposed to becoming an East vs West argument which will have perceived winners and losers. I really do believe it's a win for the Country if this goes through.

Woah now, there's no reason to bring facts into this, that'll just make things too confusing.

and agreed that the east v west thing isn't going to help. The benefits for all of Canada, not just the West, need to be focused on

:werd: :werd: I feel like the east v west argument just makes us (the west) sound like a bunch of whiny, spoiled brats.

east vs west makes us look completely idiotic in a country smaller than the state of California. Talk about losing all legitimacy on he world stage.

Hydro power also destroys lots of habitat and disrupts rivers. But that's a-ok!

I hope that you're talking about population and not land size.

Don't forget that revenue from Hydro is conspicuously absent from the equalization calculations. :banghead:
