Weather looks amazing all week, anyone get out yet? I've seen quite a number of bikes out there already. I'm starting to chip out the ice in my alley, hoping to maybe take mine out for a quick spin this week as well

I want to. But I also don't want a thread made about me.

Rode to the gym the other day... Today would have been nice too. Too much gravel on the road though.

I saw a few guys riding on 4th ave last week on my way home from work...

Must really be desperate for a ride imo...

I've seen tons of guys out on bikes this weekend near my place. We have the street sweepers out in the NW, so there's almost no gravel on some of our roads.

I rode mine last Friday. Just had to get past the ice on my street. There is gravel on the streets, but as long as you take it easy and avoid the curbside areas you'll be fine. I don't care if my bike gets dirty, I bought it to ride it

Probably will tomorrow... Figured I'd let the snow banks melt down a bit before I do

Yup. I got my bike out the road on Saturday and I'm planning on riding to school tomorrow.

I'm definitely tempted, but I'll hold off until the roads are properly cleaned.

I want to, but my seat is getting re-done right now, and I don't want to ride without a seat.

Of-course the weather is great now that my bike is torn apart. Taking fairings off is a hell of a lot easier than putting new ones on :thumbsdow . Hoping to get out later this week if its still nice!

Need to do an oil change, clean/relube chain and a quick inspection and I hope to get her out tomorrow for a quickie. I just need to get the riding itch taken care of, just a few km is all I need!

My bike's in Lloydminster getting some stuff done, otherwise I would have been on it yesterday as well as today!

My brothers and I went for a ride today out to Pine Lake and back through Red Deer. We were gone for about 2 hours. It was awesome. Weather was great and we saw 4 other riders out and about.

Just ripped around the city.... Roads were pretty good, no real gravel issues but old people should not be allowed to drive.... No fucks given, just turn out in front of you

Little wet in the community though and I had to push my bike down the cul-de-sac a bit since it was just sitting there spinning the tire haha

Very tempted to get out. I've never had it out this early before.

Apparently yesterday was the peak of the heatwave. Don't think it will get as warm for the rest of the month. Probably won't ride again till it's at least 15 degrees.

Off topic, but how is that the gravel is always neatly piled along the curbs when the snow melts? Are there sweeper trucks that sweep them over throughout the winter?
It's hard to beleive that they naturally move over considering they're always lined up along the yellow lines

I think it's natural when there's vehicle traffic. Gravel gets picked up by the tires and thrown to the side. It's like crowdsourced sweeping.

Sweepers do come out here and there in the winter, this year it's out almost daily from my observations.

How is that bike? I've always wanted to take a Scout or a Chieftain out for a ride.

I've read that the Scouts have almost no low-end torque and take forever to get up to speed? If that's true, that's too bad. I like the way they look though.

I have to respectfully disagree with both of those statements. It's a very light cruiser that is very fun to ride.

That's good to hear. It's a sexy ass bike and within the price range for my next bike. Maybe I should go check it out. Which model did you try out?

Got rid of my certain Italian motorcycle brand bike, as I signed a NDA I can't talk about it.

Excited for my next machine.

Didn't try it; I bought the 2016 Scout and was picking it up on Tuesday.

Couldn't help it. Went out yesterday. Was pretty great actually. Cars were super-aware/scared of me and kept their distance. All the roads I took were fine. I'll probably ride on the weekend as well.

Get my seat back today. Will probably try to get out at least once this weekend on the new bike.

Fuck them up the butt. I don't think I could ever deal with that bullshit.

On a separate note, sticking w/ something reliable, probably going to get a XSR900.

Alright, somebody recommend me some short cold-weather gloves. Don't care about palm insulation as I've got heated grips, I just need something to keep the tops of my fingers/hands away from windchill.

Got out all 3 days on the weekend. Was glorious. Also in need of cold-weather shorties.

Wanted to head out of the city a bit today... But changed my mind once I was on the bike... Little chilly, but wasn't too bad around town, have a pretty decent loop I ride in the south with a decent amount of corners

Finally got out myself, some roads are a snails pace, but had some fun outside of town. New exhaust sounds and looks amazing. New fairings on, just waiting on my new levers and she is 100% ready for the season!
