I would love to work close to home, but I've been out of this field for nearly 20 years. Damn I feel old now.

Definitely nice to live close to work, cuts down on communing expense (and road rage!!)
Most of the company live in Calgary and commute in (myself included), living in the NW it's a pretty easy 20-30 min drive in to town with minimal traffic since everyone is going the other way.

This sounds very interesting... would you consider someone in the I.T. Field?

Yep...

me too...

My schooling was in Electronic Tech but Alberta O&G turned me into an electrical guy...

Still helpful though when I am fixing stuff...

Ya, I got my EET Degree in the mid 90s. Do a lot of control work in supermarket refrigeration now days. Schooling still helped me.

I would say likely not, but I suppose that could depend on your previous experience and planned career path...
