I recognize times are really financially tight for everyone right now.
Nevertheless, I'm sharing the story of our neighbour's daughter who is a Paralympian. As a result of illness, she lost her Swim Canada funding and has had raise her own money to pay for training and costs associated with qualifying for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
What's really heart breaking is that she's auctioning off her London 2012 medal ceremony jacket to raise funds.
