I have a deal to sell a transmission to someone in the United States. He wants me to pay shipping as part of the deal. Anyone have advice on the most cost effective way to ship that is secure and has tracking? Shipping from Calgary to Chicago. Will be on a pallet.

Last year I had an engine shipped to me from a wrecker in Ontario and it only cost $200 to get it here.

have you tried those websites where people bid on your shipping? probably could get it down there for a decent price

Probably best to find someone with a commercial freight account, nothing will come close that you as a retail customer can access

Greyhound?
Only thing is the receiver has to pick it up from a greyhound station. Prices are good though.

I also have shipped a transmission via FedEx before. It was a transaxle so compact enough to fit into a plastic tote bin. I think it weighed like 130lbs. Cost me like $75 to ship it from Florida to somewhere in the mid-west.
