I have a couple questions as I'm new to owning an Audi

1. Anyone recommend a local shop for service? I've read bad reviews on the local dealers on here

3. 2011 S4 with 75,000KM and a clean amvic and car proof. Anything to look out for or be aware of maintenance wise coming soon?

Thanks for the help

Tunedub or bust. Book ahead of time to avoid getting booked out. They really are the best shop.

Pics? Local Calgary car? Any mods?

I have heard they have transmission (if DCT) and front suspension issues.

2011 with a few stasis mods and a tune

Only 75k and a clean car proof and amvic

Take a good look at the lip on the front fenders around the wheel well, there is little to no protection resulting in the paint getting blasted off and the fenders rusting. The front wheel bearings on my 2010 were done under warranty around 60-70km. Besides those two issues everything has been good on mine

1. I always used Glenmore Audi and I've always been well taken care by their service team.

3. I owned that exact car with half the mileage and a ton of random stuff broke on it, all covered under warranty. No sweat though, because the dealer always hooked me up with a good loaner and fixed it properly. If I were buying an Audi off-warranty, I'd look at picking up Audi warranty immediately. If that weren't an option, I'd pass. Same rules apply to any German care really.

Only 75k and a clean car proof and amvic Engine mods and tune on a miled-out Audi...bad news. And the paint appears fairly oxidized. Whoever owned this car kept the bitch outside.

Yah Stasis = no go for any warranty work even under 80K. Hopefully you don't run into issues

I don't think I'd want to spend that kind of money on a modded out of warranty Audi.

I wouldn't stress to much just drive and enjoy. Just be prepared for the maintance costs as they are not cheap just like other euro cars.

Just did the front brakes on my rs4 and it was $1500, my sisters honda fit was $130. Just a fyi.

You can not cheap out on these cars, it will hurt you in the long run.

Wasn't the stasis tune offered by audi for a few years then discontinued due to the high amount of problems?
If so, this would not be a good buy unless you got an extended warranty or purchased it for a very good price.

I would get the transmission checked. Reading online they commonly fail and are expensive to replace.

That was one of my neighbors cars I think and it was driven pretty hard from what I remember.

Thanks for all the replies

I negotiated 30k including a 3 year "coverage 1" full warranty

I'm not so sure now as I've never owned an audi and am nervous about repairs

Thanks for all the feedback I appreciate you helping educate me on this as I almost made a fairly bad decision not knowing what I was getting into

Got all caught up in the performance

What is a coverage 1 warranty...? And is it through BMW Gallery?

Repairs are steep, I know first hand. I have a stasis tuned one also.

But in the mean time enjoy the car! Absolute blast to drive. Just take of the TCS and throw it in dynamic mode ;) :D

There are different levels for coverage through coverage 1 warranty so make sure you check before buying or be aware of what is included. Here is the link to the different products they offer.
