Looking for something like this, but hopefully locally.

Available online, but when you factor in shipping, it's $40 USD, which is about a million dollars Canadian.

Would love to find something local, or failing that, something cheap that ships out of china or something.

My google-fu has been weak, as I'm not sure what terms to use that will narrow down this search. Have never seen anything like this in the home improvement stores.

I bought some a while back at Rona and at home depot

Isn't it cheaper just to get a 3 and put in a dummy switch that does nothing? :dunno:

Plus IMO it looks better than a blank.

edit: searched HD, Rona, Lowes, and Reno Depot sites with no luck.

edit2: maybe you can sectional it; hope they can combine shipping...

You actually have to go to Rona and take a look. They have it. They dont list it on their online website when you search though.

I bought the same exact thing but for a two switch one. Included in the package is a block out plate that covers whatever your not using. And another plate if your switch is those small older home switches

Holy shit, I'm sure I looked, but maybe that was at the "mini-rona" and not the big one. I'll go today.

Unfortunately since HD's new web site went up their inventory tracking went all to shit. Rona's web site has been useless since day 1.

Went to the Sunridge Rona today, no joy. I even had a discussion with the electrical customer service guy, and he figures internet is the only place to get this. They do sell the blanking insert that Thaco posted, but that's not what I want. I figure it will just look like another switch.

Also went to the Sunridge Lowes and they haven't even heard of these, and don't appear to sell that blanking insert either.

If anyone is near a home improvement store, I would appreciate if you could look for me.

They are easily obtained at any electrical wholesaler. Give Wesco, Eecol, or Westburne a try. If you have any trouble at all, pm me. I am an electrician and have a million of these things kicking around my service van, they cost about 80c a pop.

Just put duct tape over the one not being used. Paint it whatever color you'd like. Put label on it saying, "do not touch".

Or be like the guy I overheard at HD the other day. He was asking if it's fine to use the tin tape for duct work in place of electrical tape because he already had some of that at home. I laughed out loud.
