Go to both, and tell both you have been shopping around; they will try to out do each other and the customer will win.

^^ Agree.

Definitely shop around regardless. Had I just gone to the 'beyond recommended' guy when I was shopping I would have been around $2,000 out of pocket, with fewer throw-ins. Referrals are a great place to start but don't assume you're getting a good deal.

Most auto referrals are pointless. They will all try to reap maximum dollar from you. :D
