This afternoon I got Malware RSA 4096 on my computer.
I expect I could resolve most of the issue with a copy of Nortons or Mcafee or something, but was hoping to inquire on beyond about success in recovering the files on the computer, or get a referral of a beyonder that does this for living.

Thanks

If it's encrypted you either need to pay the ransom fee or recover from backups

This. If you got hit with the latest 3.x teslacrypt, these are your only options right now.

Yup, just got back from a friends place who called me for virus help and when I saw the encrypted files I said they are SOL. The virus is easy to remove but your files are fubar'd. I'd be weary about paying the ransom cause that's a hit'n'miss from what I've been reading. I just checked and 1 bitcoin value is $543 CDN so if you have valuable data and don't mind risking the payment, go ahead and try.
