Well how are they powering it, with a battery that only lasts 20 mins?

Be better to be gas powered and then it could be used all day.

I know a guy in NZ trying to startup coffee delivery via quadcopter drone but I don't know how you get around the no fly zone limitations for flying drones in those situations.

I wonder how this mini mars rover would get up the stairs of my house to deliver my pizza, or would it text me from the driveway.

I can imagine they could do exactly what they do for the quadcopter, simply put a specially designed placemat on the ground that the drone could look for and know where to drop it off. GPS to get to the neighborhood, and then look for a special pizza delivery pylon?

A 12 volt lead acid battery would let this thing go miles, considering that electric wheelchairs go miles and still have to carry the weight of a person.

Don't be silly, it can go anyplace a car can go. It may not ring the door, but you may have to walk to wherever your car is parked.

Hotswap car battery would probably be pretty easy too.

It would never work but you know what would be sick? a quad copter with a mini oven. Basically they make your pizza, toss it in the drone, and it cooks on its way to you (no idea how you'd box it... w/e) so you get a fresh out of the oven pizza at your door.
