Any good suggestions for approx 15 people for an important birthday?

Looking for something that might allow for some visiting and drinking after so that we don't have to go out to a club after if we dont want to. Dinner is good but I find sometimes you don't really get to talk to very many people being seated all the time.

I know some places have private rooms which is okay too depending on cost. Most type of food are okay, steak, seafood, sushi, ethnic etc

Hrm, not sure if this got moved or if I didn't realize what thread I was in when I posted, probably the latter.

Can a Mod move to somewhere more appropriate pls?

You can try Model Milk. They have a private room upstairs called PDR I believe.

Teatro or Pampa. I've went to both recently and was really impressed with the service and food. Great atmosphere at both.

While not that fancy, 4th spot has a private room (all they did for us was put in the 17% mandatory tip). Food it pretty good and there is a large beer selection.

I'd try Vintage. They have a good private room.

Depending on what you want to spend I'd second Vintage. We used their private room for a b-day (about 20 people) and it was good... long room with enough space that you can mingle. After dinner maybe half our group left and the rest of us moved to the lounge area. We went on a Saturday so they had a live band playing (brass, drums, guitars kind of thing) so that was entertaining and provided a good atmosphere for causal drinks/socializing.
