I've got a set of 16" tires that need to be mounted on the wheels and balanced. (regular hammered on weights is fine) Won't need them installed.

Heck, if there's a DIY place I can even do it myself.

Recommendations?

I used to go to a local shop around Edmonton trail which was $10/wheel & tire

Zee tire is $10/wheel for mount and balance up in Westwinds. Someone correct me if they've updated their prices.

Those are some really good prices if accurate.

U-wrench is do it yourself, $2.50/tire to mount and $10/wheel to balance.

They wouldn't happen to have sticky weights available there would they?

They didn't last time I was there. But the machine they have I believe will do just inside weights if I remember correctly.

zee charges $20 per wheel if 17" or bigger. they use sticky weights. first come first serve. they overtorque the screws, use a torque wrench after to prettymuch confirm that it's been overtorqued after the impact. extra charge for plastic tire bags.

Me and my friends have been using Limitless Tires. They charge $15/tire for balance/install/mount....and they use sticky weights too.

I have used tire surplus, it was $10 for balancing 14" rims and $25 mount/balance 18" rims.

Another +1 for Zee Tire. Hard to beat $10/wheel (small dia.) As it has been said, best to re-torque your wheels afterwards.

Must say that Poorboy has new owners. MUCH better place to do business. Think they charge $20 per tire.

Zee is on OK place to go. I would take a beater there...but as mentioned above they aren't exactly gentle on your car. In addition they put 52PSI in my ex girlfriends winter tires... All of that said, it was super cheap and we didn't care about the car

I use Calgary Tire Shop quite a bit, mostly because of proximity but also because the owner (Levan) is a stand up guy, if you're in bringing a lot of items he usually gives you good package deals, has a hoist, balancer and mounter all in his garage, uses stickies too if that matters. Very flexible time slots and overall great work. In the SW near Southland station.
