Pre-purchase inspection for a BMW

Looking to buy a 2012 3-series and get a pre-purchase inspection done. The Royal Oak dealership quoted me $298 to get it done... I haven't bought a car in a while but I remember the last time I did the inspection was around $150 at a private company.

Where would you guys take a car for a pre-purchase inspection?

Just had Vitek do one for me and it was very through. Aaron spent the required time to go over the car and explain to me everything is great detail. Was $210.00 which has gone up as they were $150.00 not long ago.

Thanks guys. Called all the recommended places, but none of them had openings until 2-3 weeks later.

Just coughed up the $298 to get it done at the dealership.

Are you getting the inspection done at the dealership you are potentially buying the car from?

Buying the car from a private seller, got it inspected at the same dealership they've been dealing with for the life of the car.
