Hello Everyone,

A friend is organizing an event later this year and is needing large quantities of disposable paper plates, glasses, napkins, cutlery etc.

We were wondering if there is a wholesaler or direct point of sale where these items can be purchased from?

Also he is wanting to get a pallet or more of 500ml water bottles, possibly with Logos or names. Anyone done that before?

It will only be a one time thing, and might not happen again so he is unsure about the discounts available or if it is even possible.

In his words, he is only looking to do the above to achieve lower costs compared to Costco, Wholesale Club, Wal-Mart etc.

Thank you!

Talk to Culligan for the bottled water, they didn't give us a pallets worth for them Canadian Cadet/Juvenile Wrestling Nationals that our club hosted this past weekend in Calgary but they still donated 600 500ml bottles.

Now you haven't said what kind of event you're talking about but often there are companies that will give an event donations in return for a promotional mention. Phils provided $5 coupons to every athlete, coach and official as well and we gave them a promotional mentions in a variety of ways, in our event guide, free sponsorship of a wrestling mat and multiple mentions by those commentators.

It is for a private event and not related to charity, sorry should have mentioned that.

Tomco, I believe a pallet has 30 cases of 24 (500ml) bottles. Therefore 720 water bottles.

He is looking anywhere from one pallet to pallet & half (700ish to 1000ish bottles).

Real Canadian wholesale club. Or Costco.

No Wholesale Club or Costco though (from op)

Maybe try those distribution places that sells to restaurants. Hopefully your buddy don't have to open a fake restaurant just to open an account with them to get industry rates.

How much are you willing to spend on printed plates? typically not worth it and distributors/suppliers will not typically not bother with printing your 1000 plates.

If you're looking for bulk utensils, plates (paper or styro), disposable cups, cases of water, etc. Let me know the quantity and I'll get back to you with pricing and how many boxes you'll need. These will be at a franchise pricing for non-printed supplies.
