They have those types of garages at shopping malls in Japan.. basically, you just bring your car in, and the attendent sends it off into the machine, and it'll automatically park your car for you.. and when you come back to get it, it'll automatically be retrieved for you.

I saw it on Discovery Channel once.

It saves so much space, because cars can be stacked on top of each other pretty much, and side to side without much clearence room.

yeah.. thats what i thought too. i read an article in the newspaper (the edmonton journal i think) and it said the photo was taken at the factory.
