I'm looking for wheels. I am going to moderately drop the car at max 1.5 inches and without being slammed, some wheels just won't look right.

I'm going for concave 19s that are at least decently light with a a bit of meat on the tires, no stretching for me on this car. I don't want forgestars and I don't want any sort of replica rim.

I've looked at rotiform and niche and their prices are pretty decent and in the ball park of what I want to spend. Ideally, 400 a wheel max not including tires.

Do you guys have any suggestions on what else to look at that meets the criteria?

Need to try my bro's lowered X1. It's one of the most uncomfortable cars I've ever rode in. I probably have spinal injuries from flying into the roof as a passenger over bumps on crowchild. He can't even take corners hard unless it's glass smooth with zero bumps because of how unstable it is over bumps.

Maybe it's because he went springs only, maybe the suspension travel makes that big of a difference. Either way, that car would be past my limit as a DD, and I think my limits are pretty high.

Have you looked at Vorsteiner flow formed?

Really hey? I was thinking of going just prongs route too, but I've heard good things and bad things, this being the worst. What springs does he have on there?

I have tire/rim related questions and since we are X brothers (for now lol) I thought I'd ask it here instead of making a new thread.

I am thinking of ordering some winter tires and a set of rims for my truck. I found some cheap winter tires at like $600 for the set. I read some reviews online and while they aren't the best I think it should be good enough with an AWD vehicle. Brand is Minerva or something. Sure beats spending $1500-$2000 on a set like I have in the past only to get rid of the car before getting much use out of them. lol.

At the same time I thought I'd order a set of aftermarket rims as well. I want to go drastic and different so thinking of a Niche set in White. The size is 20 x 8.5 for the front and 20 x 10.5 for the rear. Now for winter tires I am going to get a set of 275's all around and from my research I am sure they should fit on the white set.

While I will run this set in the coming winter, there is a slight possibility that I might like the look quite and bit and want to do the same in the summer. So my question is will my stock 315 rear tire fit the 10.5 rim? The front for summer tire is 275 as well so that should not be a problem fitting on the 8.5 rim.

Just trying to figure out if I go ahead and order this setup will I be stuck with it for winter use only or what.

Thanks guys.

If its strictly for winter I would go with a 17 or 18

The BBS SR wheel has been very popular

Those won't fit my vehicle. Minimum I can go is 19" but I rather just stick with 20". I have made up my mind on the rims now I am just trying to figure out if the 20 x 10.5 rim will fit a 315 tire or not.

I know that a 275 tire will fit a 8.5 rim.

What car do you have? Even the X1 XDRIVE35I M SPORT fits those. But im guessing you have a different X

For the 315 it really depends on the manufacturer of the tire but for instance the 315/35ZR20 Pilot Super Sport will fit 10.5" - 12.5"

It's a X5M. I believe the stock tires on it are 275/315 I can't remember the brand of the top of my head. I will have to look and see what it is. I want to say it's some kind of Bridgestone.

EDIT: They are Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport Run Flats. Will the 315 fit on a 10.5 rim?

From what I am seeing is 10.5-12.5 for the 315/35R20 106W

Thanks a lot for your help. So sounds like if I go with the Niche Citrine option in White I am thinking, I can run that in winters with 275's all around and summer with my 275/315 set up if I wanted to.

No problem

and should work! Just need to confirm the rolling diameter is within specifications of the car

Let me know if I can get you a price!

Well I am interested in Niche Citrine in White 8.5 for front and 10.5 for the rear. It'd be great if you can PM me the price you can get them for.

For winter tires I was looking on PMCtires.com and a brand called Minerva popped up with cheap winter tires. I doubt it'd be possible to get anything below $600 for 275/20 winter tires but if you'd like to explore that area as well then please feel free and let me know.

Thanks once again.
