Going to Montreal for first F1 event, just looking for some tips what to take/not take, what to see, not miss etc...

Have tickets for Fri/sat/sun, grandstands 12/15/01 in that order.

Have read a few things on the net, take some stadium seats, ear plugs, small cooler etc. A little worried about the sun if it is hot sitting out all day. Do people use umbrellas or just a hat? Ponchos for rain?

TIA

ear plugs are really only needed for the Porsches, the F1 cars are not that loud. Poncho for rain for sure.

I'm there this weekend too! Check this site for some tips on what's allowed, cooler size, etc.

Remember, no glass bottles.

Yeah, super disappointed last year. F458 Challenge were louder than F1.

Don't know if cooler is a good idea if you have grandstand tickets. Make be good if you only have admission and want to set up base along the fences.

Really don't need a cooler in the grandstand, haven't been to Montreal bur Monaco's grandstand didn't really have enough room for a full cooler.

i know it sucks but leave 10 minutes before the race finishes. It takes you about 2 hours to get from your seat to the train.
