I like this, aggressive yet swoopy with massively improved interior like the A4.
I am guessing same mechanicals as A4/S4, 2.0T standard with 252 hp and then the 3.0 Turbo with 360hp. Manual A4 is on its way also so I would assume it would also be available in the A5.

A4 sounds pretty good from reading about it though, 0-60 in 5.2 S with the 2.0T.

Only thing is that you have to get it fully loaded (Real not inrich) to get all the goodies.

Looking sharp. The S5 has always been one of the better looking coupes IMO.

Pretty impressive numbers out of the 2.0T volume seller. If the 3.0T takes a second off that it will be quite competitive I think. I wonder if that will be the new base tune for the 2.0T, because it would work nicely in the A3.

B9 S4 current output is set at 360HP. I think we won't see it breaking 400HP unless it's RS4/5. S4/5 will do 0-60 in mid 4s. Basically matching C43 and 340i.

No surprise here given how the A4 update went.

While manual A4/A5 is a possibility (may be in Europe), I'm 100% certain we will only get autos here in NA (DCT for A, ZF Auto for S). Even if we do get manual, it'll be the A4/A5, not S.

Kind of funny for the A4 to go from 8spd tip to DCT and other direction for the S.

Especially A4/5 owners may be more allergic to the price of DCT service @ 55K. But I guess if you hit that under pre-paid maintenance, then you are ok.

ZF is a good unit which not as fast or distinct as DCT. I would bet S4 will have more torque than advertised to warrant to drop the DCT.

All 3 current gen German coupes are all quite hot IMO.

They switched to turbo from supercharger for this gen?

Yes. No tech details but it will be the 1st one in the VAG family.

Interesting, makes sense considering the push for increased fuel economy. Should provide some more potential for aftermarket tunes as well, which is always exciting.

No manual, may limit that a bit. But that didn't really stop people pushing B8 into ridiculously high numbers even with DSG. Hence the start of TD1 flagging.
