View Full Version : where do get hex driver bits?
for a drill/impact driver.
CT and HD don't have them.
Ikea tend to like hex for their screws

I use the ones from the Stanley kit I got from CT. Just have to use a 1/4" adapter from 3/8" to use it on my impact

Just cut up an equivalent sized allen key. Doesn't Ikea include one in each box / set ?

I have a feeling OP doesn't want to manually use the Ikea ones. Otherwise, I got a box full of Ikea allen keys for OP.

So cut off the 90 degree portion.
The remainder will fit in any drill / driver.

Drill yes, impact driver no. They would have to have the correct shank size and retaining groove to work in the impact.

golly I got more bits than I know what to do with. They're all over the place. I find it hard to believe HD doesn't have it.

Buy a hex multibit screw driver. Use bits in drill. ... Profit?

Why would you use an impact driver on Ikea furniture ?

Ended up going with these at HD
Anyone know of a set or two that has diff sizes of the flat, Philips, square, etc that are at least that length?

OP mentioned impact driver. I've used one on flat pack before and it works fine if you're careful with it.
