Curious why I'm not able to send PM's??
Tells me I've disabled, which I haven't or am not allowed to send PM's.
Is there a reason for this?

Doesn't help...nothing I can see about PM's Only marketplace and user ratings.

Go here:

Make sure it's enabled. Just sent you a test one but I'm sure as an admin I can send it regardless if it's enabled or not.

Yeah I already checked those settings and I have it enabled.
And yes I did get your message and was able to reply but it still gives me this message when I try to open and send a new message.

has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

But I haven't even chosen anyone to send the message to yet?

Are you sure the person you're sending PMs to has enabled receiving them? Only other thought is maybe the person has a full inbox.

That would make sense but I haven't even added a person to send the message to. It won't let me get that far. It just gives me that message.

How do you open a blank message? I don't even see that option... What happens if you click the pm button below a user from a thread?

Gives me the same message.

I tried to PM everyone in this thread, and I get the same message.

I am using Chrome when I have this issue. When I use Opera, I'm able to send PMs.

That's a weird issue. Let me try and duplicate it here using a test account.

Chrome on my phone appears to have no issues setting up a PM.
Chrome on my work desktop has issues. If I click on the PM button on the bottom anyone's posts the PM screen comes up, but addresses the message to "YBA".

Edit: Tried to sent a test PM and it sent to YBA. Apparently that's an actual member. WTF.
Also my desktop chrome isn't loading everyone's avatars. My mobile does though.

EDIT: EDIT: Cleared cache and all my problems went away. PMs work, avatars work.

I'm having the same issues using FireFox as well. Same message and not able to see anyone Avatar including my own.

If I try to PM someone through a thread, clicking the PM button at the bottom of their post - it ALWAYS goes to some user named Ben for some reason LOL.

Still trying to duplicate the problem without much luck. Using Edge, Chrome, Safari and IE here.

With me dicking around...

If I try to send a PM from under a post it opens a message up to Fluidic...

And anytime I attempt to check a user profile it takes me to Fluidics page again haha...

I'm able to duplicate the issue with Chrome, not with PM's but with missing avatars. This is bizarre. It claims that we're sending 0 bytes from the avatar request and it's not fetching from local cache. Clearing chrome cache does fix the issue. WTF.

Does that mean picture attachments etc. will be lost from older posts?

Shouldn't matter cause the database should be migrated over

Other forums seemed to lose these.

Alright, took forever, and I've finally figured out the problem. It wasn't an easy one. I'm working with our caching provider to see if they can resolve it from their end.

edit - I've implemented a code change to try to fix this problem. Try logging out and logging back in to see if it fixes the issue.
