Went down to the East Village today to take in the Show and Shine and just enjoy some people watching.
Wasn't bad...not great. Food trucks weren't anything notable. VERY long waits. The Grilled Cheese truck took OVER 1/2 just for one sandwich. The best food out of them all, was a lonely plain-jane contruction type food-truck that was facing the wrong way and no one even paid attention to. The freshest sandwiches, fresh fruit, tons of meat and peppers in the sammy's. I threw out some chicken/pita/pocket type thing that was absolutely unedible from some ethnic food truck and got our whole lunch with no lineup from this construction truck.

Parking was a zoo as you can imagine. I finally found a spot as a guy was pulling out, so I started to pull in, and all of a sudden wheels spinning, gravel shooting and a screaming "HEY I WAS WAITING FOR THAT SPOT!!!" screams some young lady. She was literally sitting about 6 parking spots away at the entrance. I calmly backed out, letting her in there. Another spot opened up right beside her. I pulled in. Looked at her, and quietly asked "Feel better? You know, instead of getting all bent out of shape and screaming at me, maybe you could have just been a little closer to the spot...I didn't even see you over there". She started crying and apologized. :dunno: Great start.

Then I went to pay. Long line up at the Impark machine. So I whipped out my trusty "PaybyPhone" app and paid with my phone. Appreciating the $2.00/day holiday rate. Until I got home and noticed I got nailed for $18.25 (the regular weekly rate). Thanks Impark.

Anyways, here's shitty cel phone pics of the Show and Shine

I was going to stop by the Pontiac show and shine, but parking was brutal. I quickly left EV.

Music Centre looks dope though!

Parked at James Short and walked over hassle free.

The NMC is dope. I would go back when there are less people and I can spend more time.

Yeah that looks like a great place. We didn't bother with the free admission and long line up. Well do it another time. Looks very cool though.

it's pretty ridiculous when I can't even access my own condo parkade because people are blocking the entire streets. fireworks and being close to the activity was boss tho

I much prefer the name National music center to Studio Bell.

First reaction: Not sure if being serious, or making fun of drunk natives

Coffee trucks - yupp, some very, very good food can be found in them, most of it supplied by a handful of small restaurants in the 61st Avenue and Barlow Trails SE area.
