Hey, I searched for this. If i didn't try hard enough please direct me.

I need to know the different models of the 94-98 integra.
i.e; LS, GS, GS-R

What is the cheapest way to get the VTEC engine B18C1 i think.
Do you have to buy a GS-R?

I'm sure that would kill me on insurance but i really want to get out of this cavy and buy an integra.

any suggestions??

Thanks

the cheapest way to do it is to get an LS and swap in a B16 head. but make sure you get it done by someone who knows what they are doing because i've heard of some stories about reliablity issues. the LS block doesn't have the piston oil squirters like the GSR.

Thanks, I thought you would try to get me to reconsider, and step into the 3rd generation dark side

Buy an integra and swap in a GS-R engine, or buy the GS-R from the beginning.

The LS/Vtec is unreliable and dangerous to operate if you don't use extra caution, and to make it safe would cost more than a vtec engine.

Yeah I'd buy a GS-R and you'd get more options too!

What kind of price range am i looking at??

Not the blue book kind but what they are selling for.

prefer a 1994-1998

perhaps a earlier one, if they are reliable. Anything to look out for like timing belt, other stuff that goes bad?

They are extremely solid cars. 94s are hovering around 9000+- for a non-vtec, about 11-12 for a vtec. 98s will go for about 14000+-, more for a vtec model.

Oh i want it too, But I don't think the bank/insurance/girlfriend/co-workers/mom/the police want me to have it.

That would be awesome.'

I guess i'll buy todays bargain finder and start the search.

Anyone want to buy a cavalier??:burnout:

buying a GSR would be a lot less hassle but insurance would also be more

Get a 4 Door, drop in the Type R motor, and beef up the suspension and you are good to go man...

actually my insurance is classified as a "GS 2 door" for my 97' GSR. There is no classification for "GSR" for my insurance company at least.
