I've never really been a sweat pant kinda guy but after I spotted some ridiculously soft pants at MEC (unfortunately no correct size) the urge hit.

Lulus seem like a good place to start I'm sure. Anything else you guys particularly like? Something loose and good to chill at home.

full cotton unless you enjoy ball and ass sweat. Zipper pockets and you can wear them full time with your wallet, phone and keys :P. I just got a pair from winners that are cargo, have zip pockets and can be worn commando lol. Sweat pants? Why not indeed! :p

Free hemming helps with the size.
I've found that newer stuff has lower quality materials though, so I haven't bought in a while.

I'm a big preacher of any of their pants made from their material called "Luon".

I was in to the lulu for a long ass time, my go to now is under armour. Half the price, fit great, look good for sweats

I like Nike if you can find some that aren't tapered.

The Lululemon Kung Fu pants from a few years ago were awesome.

I don't like their 2.0 version as much.

I dislike tapered sweats. Since that's "in" right now, it's tough finding normal sweats.

130 bucks or more for a pair is rough tho, wait for clearance on their website or at the bay i found some like 60% off during bay days last year

Costco has Mens Avia athlethic pants. The material is slimmer than sweat pants, but still kinda heavy. Stretchy, loose and comfy. I think they have them right now actually. I've had mine for a year or two and love them. They're my go to home office or winter lounging pants. Best part...$20. If they're there, grab a couple.

picked up a really nice pair of under armours at the bay a few months back, they sell them at sport cheek too. Awesome pants and super comfy.

Sweet thanks guys, lots of recommendations. Didn't know Lulu did hemming. Have you guys noticed any piling or fading? Seems to be the latest complaints from what I can tell - just isn't the same as it once was.

Of the brands mentioned, are there specific models that worked? I'm not into tapered either, definitely not my style. The Bay/Sportcheck often have big sales too which helps cuz justifying $75+ for sweatpants is pretty tough to do mentally lol.

I bought some at Old Navy that I quite like.

I don't know if they're the most comfortable but they fit the bill: draw string, not tapered, and cost like $13 a pair. They're comfy enough to lay around the house or quickly pull on to make a run to the store. I liked them so much I went back and bought a couple more cause it's such a bitch finding a pair I like that aren't tapered and/or cost more than $50. No thanks.

My lulu that are grey and have like a weird cotton texture pill terribly.

^ yes the cotton stuff pills. The Kung Fu 1's haven't pilled on my but the 2's are starting to pill though. Horrible pilling on my Formula's which I think have actually worn through :(

I use black treatment detergent, I have shirts from 5 years ago that are still black. use that stuff to keep from fading.

 Could fit in the cheap beer thread as well. What's better then sitting in $13.00 sweat pants drinking lucky lager?

I have a bunch of underarmour ones now. My black ones lost their color pretty fast though even using dark detergent. Really comfy though with pockets and straight leg like I like.

I can't believe how much $$$ you ballers spend on sweatpants!? I've never been happier in a pair than with the $20 Avia ones from Costco.

I personally like Nike Techfleece. It's tapered, but not too tight and very comfortable to lounge in. I use them everywhere, the park, jogging, movie theaters, in the house etc.

Edit: I guess I saw your price point. Nevermind lol. They are a little on the pricey side, but you might find a pair at the outlets for cheaper.

Anything made of luon (sp) from LuluLemon can't be beat IMHO. I don't care if it's a girly brand their sweat pants are way more comfortable and made better than anything else I've seen or tried. I have some that are 5+ years old and still look new.

^^^ what he said. I love my lulu's, have had quite a few pairs now for 4 years ish, with constant wash and wear, they're only starting to fall apart in the stitching. AMAZING quality and comfort, but slightly higher upfront costs vs other brands. Highly recommend. Haven't bought a new pair since my first 4 I bought all within the same year back then.

Lately been wearing http://www.vqfit.com/ if you're into tapered, love these as well, can't beat the price either.

I would have to say my go to sweats are a baggy pair of Adidas ones I picked up at Sportchek a couple years ago. Waist band is not super tight and size is mostly controlled by the draw string (good for my back). Nice and loose and are cuffed at the bottom. I've had Under Armours, Nike tapered, Lulu's - pretty much all brands and I can't beat these ones.

FYI if you don't have an ass (aka me) then lulu's probably won't fit you. My friend gets a great discount there so I went and tried on pretty much all their pants and shorts. Nothing fit well. It all gave me hanging diaper bum/crotch. Gf says it's cause I ain't got no booty.
