Netflix released season 3 yesterday. Just binged it this morning. Another compelling season!

Netflix has it wrong though. They have the Xmas special as season 2. Season 1 and 2 consists of 3 episodes each. Every episode is independent with a different story and different characters played by a different cast. Mostly dark drama about the consequences of technology in the modern world. I highly recommend this show.

great show. heard the hype and caught the Season 3 opener with a thicc Bryce Dallas Howard

Read this review and cant wait to watch the rest. Also love the title of the show once i figured out the meaning.

Great quote from a article:

In America, we treat the release of each new Apple product with the reverence usually reserved for pop icons. The sly ingenuity of “Black Mirror” is that it nails down our love for the same devices we blame for our psychological torment. Brooker understands that even as we swear off tweeting and promise to stop Googling our exes, our phones are still the last things we see before falling asleep and the first things we reach for when we awaken.

"The Entire History of You" is definitely one of my favourites. Robert Downey Jr supposedly outbid George Clooney for the movie rights to this episode.

It was freakin' intense. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just watched first season. (Only 3 eposiodes?)

Loving the new Kodi box, loving the show. It's almost unheard of to get me interested in a series to this extent, but it's so dreary and original, I'm pretty stoked.

Kind of like a modern but better Twilight Zone.

If you watch Season 1 onwards, there are references between the previous seasons.

I like it.

Since then, I've watched 6 more episodes. In general, those episodes weren't nearly as gripping as the pilot. I mean the plots were great, but they were kind of slow and boring.

Hit S03. There's one that's definitely chilling.

If you're not phased by that season, you're messed up because it could happen in the not-so-distant future.

Season 3 is pretty good. The VR one actually made me a bit... Nauseous isnt the right word, but it really nailed the horror. Can you even imagine? The dread I felt that episode was almost overwhelming. It was incredibly powerful as an episode.

The military one as well, can you imagine?

I just finished watching the first episode of Season 3 (Nose Dive). That's the first episode that I felt was on par with the pilot. I'm looking forward to the rest of Season 3.

Overall, the premise of the series is refreshingly unique, and the plots are intriguing. My only complaint is I'm finding most of the episodes I've seen so far are very drawn out. I turned off "Be Right Back", as I couldn't handle the boredom.

Seth1968, how did you find the rest of season 3? Episode 4, San Junipero, is an interesting piece to Black Mirror. Did you get through this episode?

I watched the first 3 or 4 episodes and stopped. Reminds me of the twilight zone, but 1000 times more awkward to watch.

Season 2 was weak for me. But Season 3 definitely picked it up.

Wedding episode is by far the most likely scenario I see that probably has already happened.

The treadmill episode also hit far too close to the mark and was uncomfortable to watch just because society is definitely almost at that point.

"The Entire History of You" and "White Christmas" were excellent, but all of their episodes are very thought-provoking.

I think Playtest, then Nosedive were my fav, though whitebear was pretty crazy too.

I found Playtest annoying.

The main character had a really grating personality and I couldn't handle the fact that he was constantly talking aloud to himself.

I thought Nosedive was pretty eerie in terms of our current social media consumption as a society and how everyone now carefully curates their lives to make themselves look good.

The nerd in me loved the idea of playtest and the last couple minutes was a holy shit

Definitely not the best season but San Junipero was probably the best overall concept and most well done of the 3rd season. Nosedive was a close second.

Order makes no difference. There's the odd Easter egg, but they're all independent stories

So am I the only one who Donnie Darko'd the kid? That ending felt pretty weak. Then I ended up in jail with a mediocre game release, again weak ending. Then I got the action fight scene with the psychiatrist and dad, that made up for it, lol

There is an interactive version of this show on Netflix now where you pick what path and choices you want the character to make. Only works on certain Smart TV's - but does on PS (presumably xBox) and computers. Interesting concept like the Goosebump books from back in the day - the story felt somewhat weak as I got bored.

The perfect game ending was worth it.

What options did you do to to get that? I only got a couple of 'shitty game' and one with him being in prison, killing his father, talking to us about Netflix etc.
